TLC have written and produced their fifth and final album thanks to a little help from their their fans, with their first single, “Way Back,” now available to the world.
The group put out their first album in 1992 and found success somewhere in between their fourth one released in 2002. That year also saw the death of Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes. The group has been fairly quiet since and had not put out another album — until now.
Thanks to Kickstarter and the trio’s rabid fans, TLC was able to fully fund their next album, which will be their first without Left Eye and their last as a musical group. The latest update to the Kickstarter page sets a firm June 30 release date for the album, which is currently untitled.
