Tina Fey and Maya Rudolph are master comedians… and master dubsmashers, apparently.

The Marvel gang aren’t the only celebrities doing dubsmash.

The popular social media phenomenon has now seeped into late night TV, during Tina Fey’s appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers.

Fey was promoting her Netflix series Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, and played a video of her and Schmidt stars Tituss Burgess and Jane Krakowski lip-syncing to Beyoncé.

But she was quick to point out that if there is a true dubsmash queen, it’s Maya Rudolph:

Rudolph was lying in bed, and perfectly dubsmashed the popular “Bitch is you blind” quote, which has of course been dubbed many, many times before.

While we admire Rudolph’s technique and commitment, Chris Evans at no point appeared in the video to make out with her, so… we still gotta give the edge to Hayley Atwell! Sorrynotsorry.

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is returning for its second season on Netflix next year. The reason the cast is doing the media rounds right now is because we’re nearing the Emmy Awards Ceremony, which takes place September 20.

Kimmy Schmidt is nominated in the Outstanding Comedy Series category, with Jane Krakowski and Tituss Burgess nominated for Best Supporting Actress and Actor, respectively.

Tina Fey herself is nominated in the Best Guest Actress category, in lieu of landing a writing nod.

On season 2 of her series, which stars Ellie Kemper as the title character, Fey has teased to Deadline, “Titus gets a little more backstory; Titus gets in a relationship. Kimmy is kind of grappling with the fact that the world is not black and white, and what does she do now that this one chapter of her life is closed.”
