If you need a Hocus Pocus something — anything — I have good news to share: Tina Fey says a Hocus Pocus thing is in the works.

Speaking at a recent Q&A at the Tribeca Film Festival, Fey was hit with a slew of “rapid fire” questions, and one of the topics that came up was a potential sequel to the cult classic Hocus Pocus starring Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy, and Sarah Jessica Parker. The three leading ladies who played Winifred, Mary, and Sarah have all vowed that they’re down for Hocus Pocus 2, and Fey reportedly became involved with the Hocus Pocus brand two years ago with her production company. Since then, the rumor mill has been awash with speculation that a new movie may happen.

That brings us to this week’s Q&A, where Fey said that a Hocus Pocus thing has “a script in development,” and “it is not so much a remake.” Ooh!

All Hocus Pocus fans are surely pleased to hear that it’s not a remake, because we sure as hell don’t want to forget about the original. So what is this new project, then? Fey didn’t comment, but the obvious guess would be that it is a true sequel. And hopefully starring the original three witches.

Since the original movie wasn’t exactly a box office phenomenon (it made $40 million total in the U.S.), Disney may have a tough time figuring out what to do with a Hocus Pocus 2. One option could be to send it straight to television, where it would be cheaper to film for, say, Disney Channel. Another option would be to put it in theaters around Halloween and just keep the budget low to minimize the risk. So long as it’s a fun story, has the original cast, and looks as good as the original movie, I’d say fans wouldn’t mind a smaller budget.

If you miss them and need them back in your life now, you should watch Disney World’s recent Halloween show, the Villain Spelltactular, in which the Sanderson Sisters star. These ladies aren’t the original actresses, but they’re surprisingly good at portraying the original trio:
