Just hours before she and Jon Hamm were making their case onstage for finest comedy duo at the 64th Primetime Emmys, Tina Fey took to the Red Carpet to chat with Ryan Seacrest about 30 Rock‘s seventh and final season.

“We feel like we’ve done every crazy thing we can,” Fey told Seacrest (whom she seemed significantly taller than due to hair and high heels). “So our goal is to make people care about the characters.”

She confirmed that the season will be 13 episodes and revealed that the writers don’t have an ending locked down yet but teased that Liz might get married (start placing your bets now).

Perhaps most importantly, however, Fey gave us our first hint at what America’s sweetheart Ryan Lochte a.k.a. Loch-Star a.k.a. the Loch-ness Monster a.k.a. Seth McFarlane’s best impression might get up to in his guest appearance.

“He played – if I may use this term on television – a sex idiot,” she said, before adding “he’s good at it.”
