Can’t get enough Timothée Chalamet? Netflix’s The King — an adaptation of William Shakespeare’s Henry IV and Henry V — has got you covered!

It’s certainly a good time to be a Timothée Chalamet fan.

The actor recently made fans swoon (and clutch their hearts in agony) as Theodore “Laurie” Laurence in the trailer for Greta Gerwig’s Little Women, and will be taking on a lead role as Paul Atreides in the 2020 Dune film.

He’ll also be coming to a small screen near you soon, with Netflix’s The King premiering on Netflix and in select theaters this coming fall.

Chalamet gave fans their first look at the adaptation by sharing the official poster for the film, which you can see below.

The King is based on William Shakespeare’s plays Henry IV Part 1, Henry Part 2, and Henry V. The story will center on Hal, played by Timothée Chalamet, and his ascension to the English throne following his father’s death. Here’s the official Netflix synopsis:

Hal, wayward prince and reluctant heir to the English throne, has turned his back on royal life and is living among the people. But when his tyrannical father dies, Hal is crowned King Henry V and is forced to embrace the life he had previously tried to escape. Now the young king must navigate the palace politics, chaos and war his father left behind, and the emotional strings of his past life — including his relationship with his closest friend and mentor, the ageing alcoholic knight, John Falstaff.

Joining Timothée Chalamet in The King will be Joel Edgerton as John Falstaff, Robert Pattinson as The Dauphin, Ben Mendelsohn as King Henry IV, Lily-Rose Depp as Catherine, and Thomasin McKenzie as Phillippa.

The King was co-written by David Michôd (Catch-22, Animal Kingdom) and Joel Edgerton, who previously worked together as writers on the seriously underrated Australian gem, The Rover.
