Kitty Pryde could be the next X-Men mutant to take center stage on the silver screen!

According to Collider, Deadpool alumn Tim Miller is currently in the process of developing a solo movie centered around X-Men member Kitty Pryde.

Currently, Miller is looking to develop the film at 20th Century Fox, which is home to many of Marvel’s current X-Men entities including X-Force, Wolverine, The New Mutants, and of course, Deadpool.

Though Miller is reportedly interested in directing the project, fans of Kitty Pryde shouldn’t get too excited. Currently, there’s no word yet on whether or not 20th Century Fox will give the film the green light. Even so, we’re sure X-Men fans will be happy to know that Miller is clearly interested.

Most recently we saw Ellen Page play an iteration of Kitty Pryde (who sometimes goes by the alias of Shadowcat) in X-Men: The Last Stand and X-Men: Days of Future Past.

If a deal does go through, we imagine Miller’s vision will be quite different from the version of the mutant we’ve previously seen on screen.

For those that need a bit of a refresher, Kitty Pryde is a mutant who possesses the ability to phase. Her unique power to become intangible allows her and whatever objects or people she’s touching to pass through solid objects. It also allows her to do cool things like disrupt any electrical field she’s passing through and simulate levitation.

Throughout her history in the comics, we’ve seen her interact with the likes of Wolverine, Colossus, and even Star-Lord, so if 20th Century Fox does put Miller’s solo film into production, we’ll be curious to know which Kitty Pryde story line he decides to follow.
