Comedic actress Tiffany Haddish is officially joining the Netflix family!

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Netflix has officially given a straight to series order to a new animated series called Tuca and Bertie, which will find Tiffany Haddish lending her voice to one of the lead characters.

Tuca and Bertie comes from the creatives that brought us BoJack Horseman, and the first season of the animated comedy will be comprised of 10 episodes.

The show centers around the friendship of two bird women in their 30s who live in the same apartment building. Haddish specifically will be lending her voice to Tuca, a character who is described as being “a cocky-carefree toucan.”

Meanwhile, Tuca’s partner in crime sounds like she’ll be the complete opposite. According to the series synopsis, Bertie is “an anxious, day-dreaming songbird.”

Bertie has yet to be cast, but we’ll be looking forward to seeing who will be teaming up with Haddish to bring the new animated comedy to life.

Haddish, who won the hearts of many for her hilarious performance in last year’s comedy Girls Trip, seems to be keeping incredibly busy these days.

The actress has a slew of projects coming down the pipeline, which is great news for fans who just can’t wait to get more of Haddish in 2018!

Up next, you’ll be able to catch Haddish in the comedies Uncle Drew (June 29, 2018), Night School (September 28, 2018), and The Oath. We also just learned not long ago that Haddish will be teaming up with Melissa McCarthy for the new DC Comics mob drama The Kitchen.

There’s currently no word on when Netflix plans to premiere Tuca and Bertie, but we’ll keep you posted on developments!
