Tiffany Haddish is officially taking over one of MTV’s biggest nights!

The network announced on Thursday (February 22) that breakout comedic actress Tiffany Haddish will officially be this year’s host for the 2018 MTV Movie and TV Awards.

The Girls Trip star took to Instagram to share the good news with fans in the form of a fun video where she announced that she’d be taking over hosting duties from Workaholics actor Adam Devine, who hosted the award show in 2017.

“It’s gonna be off the chain and you know why? ‘Cause I’m hosting!” said Haddish in the video. “And you know what that means— it’s gonna be hilarious.”

Haddish also made sure to let fans know when they can tune in to watch her host the show in the caption of the post.

“So I got some Great News Everybody! I will be hosting the MTV Movie and TV Awards…make sure you watch Monday June 18th on MTV,” wrote Haddish. “The Awards will be in Los Angeles and it will be fun!”

Haddish may have won us over with her best-selling autobiography, The Last Black Unicorn, and of course her unforgettable role in last year’s comedy, Girls Trip.

That being said, it’s been her numerous appearances on talk show hosts like The Daily Show with Trevor Noah, Jimmy Kimmel Live, and The Ellen DeGeneres Show that have really stolen our hearts over the past year.

With that in mind, we’re sure she’ll make this year’s MTV Movie and TV Awards one that’s brimming with unforgettable, standout moments.

Categories and nominees for the show are set to be announced at a later date.

The 2018 MTV Movie and TV Awards will air Monday, June 18 at 9 p.m., local time.
