After a series of tweets by IGDA Mobile SIG chair Kevin Dent alleged that THQ was in financial trouble, THQ has denied the rumors that they have cancelled their lineup of games scheduled for 2014 and are shopping for buyers.

“THQ has not cancelled its 2014 line-up, and has not made any decisions regarding the planned MMO [Warhammer 40k: Dark Millenium Online],” said THQ Australia’s PR department.

In the same statement, THQ did say they are moving away from the “kids’ boxed game sector” after poor sales from the recent iteration of the uDraw.

“Our slate for calendar 2012 and beyond is focused on high-quality core games and continues to build our digital platform and business,” the statement continued.

Other games in development at THQ include: Darksiders 2, Metro: Last Light, South Park RPG, Devil’s Third and the Guillermo Del Toro collaboration Insane. Assassin’s Creed project director Patrice Desilets also has a project scheduled to be published by THQ.

One bright spot for the company, Saints Row: The Third, has sold over a million copies globally since its release in November.
