Thor: The Dark World has cranked up its production, as just yesterday we saw the first photos of Chris Hemsworth on set and now we have video of the the god of thunder in an explosive battle sequence.

In the video you’ll see Thor bringing down his hammer (Mjölnir), while performing his trademark leap onto a few of his foes while explosives are seen exploding quite close to the Australian leading man. You’ll also notice actress Jaimie Alexander battling along side Thor on the set which is located in Surrey, England. Thor: The Dark World is one of many Marvel films that will hit theaters in 2013.

It’s also been reported that Kat Dennings would be reprising her small role in the Thor sequel, but that she could be seeing a much larger role due to her hit TV show Broke Girls. Natalie Portman will also reprise her role as the female lead Jane Foster, although she’s been quiet about her involvement thus far.

If you were hoping to pick up the first Thor film on Blu-ray in the Marvel Phase One collector’s set, you might be waiting a while. Disney was sued by a German luggage company for their use of the Tesseract case seen in The Avengers film. They have been forced to move the release date of the collector’s set to Spring 2013 due to the need to remove of the German company’s case that was being included.

Thor: The Dark World’s release date is set for November 8, 2013.
