Thor: The Dark World will hit theaters November 8, and today we finally have the first TV spot for the Thor sequel.

In the first Thor 2 TV spot, we start with Loki telling Thor how “truly desperate” he is to trust him, something we’ve heard in previous trailers. A lot of the footage is reused, but we also get to hear Christopher Eccleston speaking to Thor as Malekith the Accursed.

Thor: The Dark World’s latest trailer gave us some great new footage, along with some new looks of Tom Hiddleston as Loki as well. It was also announced that the cast and crew were going back for reshoots to add even more Loki to Thor’s sequel.

Actress Natalie Portman recently revealed that she “thinks they will be making” Thor 3, so we’ll be interested to see if the entire cast will be back for that during Marvel’s Phase three.

With the new footage, we’re seeing a much darker film than before, and while the comedy aspects are still present, we can tell that Game of Thrones’ director Alan Taylor has had a huge impact on the style of the film.

Given the presence of the Dark Elves (including Malekith) in the film, it may be safe to say that we’ll be treated to something more cosmic and less Earthly than Thor. This may be Marvel’s transition into Guardians of the Galaxy, which will be a very space-filled film.

We’re definitely looking forward to Thor’s sequel and its November 8 release date.
