With Captain America 3 being confirmed earlier this week, Marvel continues to set up Phase Three by signing writers to pen Thor 3 script.

Marvel is on a roll and they don’t plan on slowing down anytime soon. The studio who recently signed the Russo brothers to direct Captain America 3 has now signed Craig Kyle and Christopher Yost to write the script for Thor 3.

Thor: The Dark World’s executive producer and co-writer will be returning for the threequel, confirming that Marvel will continue the Thor franchise with Chris Hemsworth as the lead.

Marvel president Kevin Fiege says, “I am proud of Craig and have enjoyed working with him over these past years.” Thor’s sequel has become Marvel Studios’ third highest grossing film behind only The Avengers and Iron Man 3.

Feige says, “His creative instincts have helped shape Thor and Thor: The Dark World at every level of the filmmaking process. The entire team is very happy to continue collaborating with Craig as he continues as a screenwriter working with Christopher [Yost] on the forthcoming chapter of Thor’s adventure.”

While Thor will be a big part of The Avengers: Age of Ultron, set to hit theaters in 2015, Marvel was clearly happy with Thor: The Dark World’s performance at the box office. Thor 3 will be the fifth time Hemsworth will play the role by the time the third solo film hits theaters.

Thor: The Dark World will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on February 25.
