Tonight during the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards we will get our first video look at The Hunger Games. Fans have been excited and MTV has certainly been pumping it up.

But we’re starting to suspect that this trailer.. preview.. whatever you want to call it will only be that of Katniss running through the forest.

We’re gathering this because MTV has released three one-second clips that all essentially show the same thing: Katniss running in the arena.

As far as we can remember, never has a video reveal been teased with three clips that all show the same scene.

Another thing to keep in mind is that this was only called a teaser trailer once by Lionsgate (the mention was made on the official Hunger Games Facebook page but then taken down). Every other time it has been called a “preview”. A preview, to us, lowers expectations.

Without a doubt the first look tonight will be an exciting one. Don’t forget that director Gary Ross will be talking about the film this evening after the preview is released. We’ll bring you both items as soon as they’re online!
