Wonder how Four got his physique in Divergent? It helped that Theo James almost killed himself doing construction work.
Before Theo James was an actor, he had a lot of terrible jobs. One of them was as a construction worker.
Appearing on the Late Show with David Letterman to promote Insurgent, James told a story about one particularly harrowing experience:
James recalls the day when he spent five hours digging up copper for the team, only to end up releasing a cloud of asbestos in everyone’s faces.
“But you’re fine now,” Letterman says, a little uncertainly. He certainly seems fine!
It’s always fun to be reminded that actors weren’t born rich and famous.
