Part 1 of the 2-night season premiere of The X Factor debuts tonight, giving us our first look as Britney Spears and Demi Lovato as judges!
After a mild season 1 with not much buzz, season 2 of The X Factor is creating major buzz before a single episode has even aired with the addition of judges Britney Spears and Demi Lovato.
So what does Britney have to say about filling the judge’s chair this season?
“I couldn’t be more excited to join THE X FACTOR judging panel. I’m a huge fan of the show and now I get to be a part of the action. Simon and L.A. better watch out!”
Demi Lovato is equally as excited to be joining The X Factor this year!
“I’m so thrilled to join this legendary group of judges on THE X FACTOR,” said Lovato. “To be able to spend each week with Simon, L.A. and Britney watching the best that America has to offer is truly a dream come true.”

It hasn’t been nailed down just yet, but there are rumors that Glee‘s Kevin McHale (who plays Artie) could potentially be hosting The X Factor this season, replacing last season’s host Steve Jones. There are also reports that the later rounds of the season could potentially use holograms for contestants to duet with artists who are no longer with us!
We also got this hilarious look at Britney at the judges’ table cringing and holding her ears during performances! We also see one particularly confident contestant who maybe wears out his welcome on stage when auditioning in front of L.A., Britney, Demi and Simon!
The X Factor premieres tonight on Fox at 8/7c!
