It was recently announced by the British Board of Film Classification that Daniel Radcliffe’s first post-Potter project was ‘the most complained-about film of the year’ in Great Britain.

The Woman In Black managed to amass 120 complaints as a result of its “inaccurate and poorly assigned” age rating of 12-A. It was said (in the Telegraph) to have been received by the younger audiences who were drawn to the production through Radcliffe’s Potter fanbase as ‘scary and sinister’. The number of complaints received was almost three times that made about Black Swan last year, an immensely controversial, yet Oscar winning film.

Would this backlash have been received had the star of the production not been Radcliffe, or is this simply another example of his previous works “haunting” him? Leave your opinion in the comments section below.
