The first clip for Martin Scorsese’s delayed The Wolf of Wall Street has been released, featuring Leonardo Dicaprio, Jonah Hill, Margot Robbie, and a shirtless Jon Bernthal of The Walking Dead fame.

The minute-long clip, which premiered over on Yahoo!, features the aforementioned actors led by Dicaprio’s Jordan Belfort hatching a plan to smuggle money out of the country. It’s a short, outrageous scene, and already previews great things to come, especially when looking at all these unique and crazy characters. Watch for yourself:

The Wolf of Wall Street is based upon the autobiography of Jordan Belfort (Dicaprio), “chronicling his rise to a wealthy stockbroker living the high life to his fall involving crime, corruption and the federal government.”

The film, which was written by Terrence Winter (Boardwalk Empire), features a great cast in addition to those featured in the clip, including Matthew McConaughey (Magic Mike), Kyle Chandler (Friday Night Lights), Cristin Milioti (How I Met Your Mother), Shea Wigham (Silver Linings Playbook), Ethan Suplee (My Name Is Earl), and a trio of directors in Rob Reiner (A Few Good Men), Spike Jonze (Where the Wild Things Are) and Jon Favreau (Iron Man).

Originally scheduled to be released earlier this month, the film is now slated for a Christmas day release, with advanced press screenings set up for the end of the month. Judging on the clout surrounding the project alone, we’re likely looking at a major player in the Academy Awards race, and we’ll be monitoring the reaction to these press and industry screenings, as they could have a major impact on the awards landscape.
