In season 1 of The Walking Dead, Glenn Rhee was just the go-to guy for getting around the urban jungle in Atlanta. Now, in season 3, he’s a major scout, zombie killer and Maggie Greene’s lover. But what could be in store for the second half of season 3?

In an interview with Channel Guide Magazine, Steven Yeun spoke about his growth as Glenn Rhee in The Walking Dead, and about what may be in store for him in the rest of the season.

The Governor traumatised both Glenn and Maggie (Lauren Cohen) to a breaking point in the first half of season 3 after Merle captured them whilst they were out collecting supplies for baby Judith. With this in mind, what could Glenn have planned for settling the score? Could he have his sweet revenge against the Governor?

“I think people will be interested to see how far he takes this.”

With regards to Glenn and Maggie’s capture, and having had a zombie thrown in with him by Merle whilst he was tied to a chair in an edge-of-your-seat fight, Yeun indicated that Glenn is feeling far from forgiving. But could Glenn be about to take it one step too far and risk losing his life (or Maggie and the group) just to settle the score?

“You and I could end this tonight.”

In The Walking Dead‘s promos released by AMC, Glenn says this to Michonne. We have lots of ideas surrounding this one.

Could the groups be fractioning? Both Glenn and Michonne have reason to hate, abhor and detest the Governor for the things he’s done to them and the people they love. But might Glenn and Michonne be about to team up to take Woodbury and the Governor on alone? What about Maggie and the rest of the survivors at the prison?

“You can’t live with ’em, can’t live without ’em.”

It appears that, in this post-apocolyptic world where the dead walk among the living and crave human flesh, people are very much either with you or against you. Some of the worst fights we’ve seen in the series have been the living against the living, and whilst walkers remain a very serious and permanent threat to everyone’s survival, so are other humans.

New episodes of The Walking Dead season 3 air Sundays beginning Feb. 10 at 9/8 ET/PT on AMC.
