With the introduction of Tyreese, a fan favorite from the comics, in The Walking Dead midseason finale, we have been wondering who else might be a good addition to AMC’s show from Robert Kirkman’s comics. Check out our list of who we most want to see in future episodes of The Walking Dead. Beware of spoilers.

The Walking Dead has definitely proven to be its own entity when compared to the original print version of the series, but it still draws heavily from the comics for characters and storylines. We have been waiting to see Tyreese (who appears fairly early on in the comics), and now that he’s made his way into the show, we’re looking forward to see who else would be a good addition to the AMC series.

Sgt. Abraham Ford

As expected, when Abraham met Rick Grimes there was some palpable tension. Trust is something that is hard to come by in the zombie apocalypse, but after some time, Rick and Abraham grew to be incredible friends. Since Rick meets Abraham after the prison fiasco and the death of Tyreese, he needs someone else to be his second-in-command, and Abraham fills that role nicely.

Abraham stays with Rick’s group for a long time, and builds a strong friendship with Rick and the surviving members of the group. He has a close relationship with Eugene, another character we’d like to see later on, who is a former science teacher and quite intelligent. Unfortunately Abraham meets his end at the hands of one of Negan’s “Saviors” when their community is attacked.

Aaron

Though at first Aaron appears to be a shady character, it turns out that he honestly wants Rick’s group to join their community, the Alexandria Safe-Zone. He provides a safe haven and renewed sense of hope in Rick by welcoming him into their community. His decision to bring Rick’s group in causes major character development for Rick.

Plus we’d definitely like to see more representation of gay relationships on The Walking Dead.

Heath

Heath is another member of the Alexandria Safe-Zone, and he’s one of the most reliable and likeable characters there. Heath is a supply runner for their community, and his character much mirrors Glenn. He cares deeply for his girlfriend, Denise, and he’s always willing to lend a helping hand. His humanity is refreshing during a time when a lot of people have become hardened by the violence of the zombie apocalypse.

Alice

We first meet Alice in Woodbury when she is helping care for Rick after the Governor chops off his hand. While she isn’t a doctor herself, she has been training with Dr. Stevens, the Woodbury doctor, in order to help him out. Alice decides that Woodbury isn’t as great as it seems, and leaves with Rick and the others. While at the prison, Alice helps with the delivery of Lori’s baby and becomes a vital resource to the group.

She was also interested in doing research on the walkers, and so we doubt we’ll see her in the show considering that Milton has taken over that role on AMC’s The Walking Dead.
