The Walking Dead’s second spinoff series has just released its first official photos ahead of its NYCC panel debut.

The world of The Walking Dead doesn’t seem to be shambling to an end any time soon.

The original Walking Dead series heads into its tenth season next week, while Fear the Walking Dead — the first spinoff in the universe — wrapped up its divisive fifth season last week.

And while the second Walking Dead spinoff series is still currently untitled, AMC today released the first official photos for the new show.

The new show was created by Walking Dead chief content officer Scott M. Gimple and former The Walking Dead writer and producer Matt Negrete, who will also be the showrunner on the new series.

The third show in the franchise will debut in spring 2020. And while we don’t know too much about the details of the show quite yet, we do know that it will focus on two young female protagonists who are part of the first generation to come-of-age in the current apocalypse.

That means that while the first two Walking Dead shows in the Walking Dead franchise feature main characters who had to adapt to a new world as adults, this show will be about the generation who more or else have adapted to a zombified, post-apocalyptic world as their status quo.

According to AMC’s official description, “Some will become heroes. Some will become villains. In the end, all of them will be changed forever. Grown-up and cemented in their identities, both good and bad.”

The new images give us our first look at Walking Dead cast members Alexa Mansour as Hope, Aliyah Royale as Iris, Hal Cumpston as Silas, Nicolas Cantu as Elton, Nico Tortorella as Felix, and Annet Mahendru as Huck.

The series will have its panel debut this Saturday at New York Comic Con, at which time we’re likely to get more footage, more details about the show, and (hopefully) a name.
