The Walking Dead season 8 doesn’t premiere until October, but AMC has announced that three characters will be expanding their roles.

Fans may have lost some favorites in The Walking Dead season 7, but next season they will get the chance to spend more time with newer characters. According to THR, Steven Ogg, who plays Simon, Kaetlyn Nacon, who plays Enid, and Pollyanna McIntosh, who plays Jadis, have been promoted to full-time roles.

It’s not really surprising that we’ll be seeing more of Simon and Enid as the Saviors prepare to go to war with the communities they have been oppressing. Enid will probably be helping out Maggie more, now that Sasha is gone. And Simon, as Negan’s right-hand man, will try to stop the Hilltop, Alexandria, and the Kingdom from growing their army.

It is interesting to learn that Jadis will be having a larger role going forward. Her character, and the group she leads, are not from the comics. I was kind of expecting that her deal with the Saviors was a one-off thing. But since McIntosh has been given a larger role, that means her group of junkyard dwellers will be sticking around to help the Saviors.

Are you excited to see more of Simon, Enid, and Jadis on ‘The Walking Dead’?
