AMC has dropped a new promo for The Walking Dead season 7 featuring King Ezekiel and the Kingdom!
When The Walking Dead season 7 premieres, fans will finally know who meets their fate with Lucille. The move by Negan, meant to teach Rick and the group a lesson, will clearly work as they begin to serve him. But how long will that last? It’s surely only a matter of time before they rise and take a stance against Negan, as seen in the comics.
A new promotional video released today might be the key to their impending war against Negan. Having previously underestimated The Saviors, Rick will need help to fight back against them. Ezekiel’s group, known as the Kingdom, shares a similar hatred for Negan that could bring them together.
First, Morgan and Tara have to meet Ezekiel.
AMC also released a new poster for The Walking Dead season 7, which teases, “We’re just getting started.” Not only will fans be learning what happened with Rick and Negan after he introduces them to Lucille, but the season will also go back and show how Negan rose to power.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Jeffrey Dean Morgan stated, “In finding out more about Negan, we’ll find out how his life has been since the zombie apocalypse started, since the outbreak began, and we’ll find out sort of how Negan has come to be who he is.”

The first half of Season 7 sees the group fractured, broken, bereaved, and picking up the pieces while living under the thumb of oppression. Negan will have successfully brought the survivors under his will, brutally convincing them to live under his rules with a deadly and horrific example of what happens if they don’t.
