The first trailer for The Walking Dead season 6 has arrived and offers us a great look at what’s to come.

The new trailer premiered at San Diego Comic-Con during AMC’s Walking Dead panel, which shouldn’t surprise longtime spectators of the series. The show has historically used the convention to drop the first trailer and the upcoming season’s premiere date.

This year was no different: AMC announced at the top of their panel that The Walking Dead season 6 will premiere Sunday, October 11, 2015 at 9 p.m. eastern/pacific. The opening episode will be 90 minutes!

As a poster teased last week, it looks like Rick will be going up against Morgan and the residents of Alexandria. Interestingly, Daryl is going to be getting caught in between the two as he figures out who he sides with. And are those The Wolves we see in the woods?

Today’s panel at Comic-Con found Melissa McBride (Carol) bringing cookies onto the stage. We wouldn’t trust those, however…

Elsewhere during the panel, showrunner Scott M. Gimple said that we can expect The Wolves from the comics to be introduced in a way that will surprise us.

Cast members on hand at Comic-Con today include Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun, Danai Gurira, Melissa McBride, Chandler Riggs, Michael Cudlitz, Lennie James and Sonequa Martin-Green.
