The penultimate episode of The Walking Dead season 3 just finished airing on AMC!

In the final episode before the season 3 finale, Rick decides he needs to take Michonne to The Governor and needs Merle’s help to carry out the plan. Daryl goes to speak to his brother about the situation and makes clear that he misses having the brother he once knew. Tensions continue to soar as Rick knows what he has to do with Michonne. So much so that he backs out of his plan, but the decision is too late – Merle takes matters into his own hands and knocks her out. He proceeds to take her outside the prison, and Daryl goes after them after he and Rick realize they’re missing.

Glenn tells Hershel he wants to marry Maggie, and Hershel gives him his blessing. Later, Michonne tells Merle that they could just go back (to Woodbury), and Merle lets her out of the car because he has matters to take care of on his own. He heads over to Woodbury where he causes a scene attracting walkers. In an explosive confrontation, The Governor finds and kills him for creating the trouble. Glenn goes forward with his plan to propose and marry Maggie, who accepts his question. Rick talks to his group and reveals The Governor’s request to hand over Michonne and the subsequent events that occurred during tonight’s episode (Merle taking Michonne over and Daryl going to find them). Daryl gets to Woodbury and finds his brother as a zombie. He then kills him in a very emotional ending.
