For months Robert Kirkman has been teasing that the walkers in The Walking Dead season 4 would become more dangerous. Now, the creator is explaining how that will be.

If you’ve been worried about the walkers evolving into super zombies, The Walking Dead creator Kirkman is clearing the air. The walkers we all know and love (or fear) are here to stay.

“As far as changing their methods or behavior or evolving in any kind of major way, that’s really just not the point of the show,” Kirkman explians to TV Line.

“The show is about these characters. And the zombies are present and they will always be a threat, but the show isn’t really about these creatures evolving into something new.”

So what makes the walkers more dangerous in season 4? Kirkman explains that the cast will be facing, “some really intense, scary, very detail-oriented zombies.” Adding that it’s going to be even more intense than anything we’ve seen before.

Just from the promotional videos that AMC has released, it’s clear that the walkers will be quite dangerous.

We’ve seen a teaser of the walkers gaining entrance into prison. Another teaser of Michonne and Daryl trapped in a car being surrounded by walkers, and one more of Michonne coming back to the prison and being attacked by walkers.

Are you glad to hear that the walkers won’t be evolving in ‘The Walking Dead’ season 4?
