Do you need to catch up on this season of The Walking Dead? If you don’t have any exciting plans for New Year’s Eve, now you can thrill yourself by watching a marathon of The Walking Dead season 3 so far.

AMC has announced that the network will air the first half of The Walking Dead season 3 on New Year’s Eve starting at 9 p.m. EST, beginning with the first episode of the season, “Seed.” So if you need to catch up, or fancy a rewatch, or even if you just want to terrify your party guests, you can tune into AMC for its zombie apocalypse terror.

We’ve come to expect AMC to air Walking Dead marathons on holidays and special occasions, and we just don’t think New Year’s Eve would be complete without some post-apocalyptic excitement.

Season 2 of The Walking Dead ended with Rick’s group on the run and a hint that they would discover a prison. Lori was pregnant and struggling to think of how they would care for a baby in their current situation.

If you haven’t seen season 3 yet, there is also a shady character who you’ll soon meet – a man who calls himself the Governor. What could this new introduction mean for Rick and the rest of the group?

Also, what about Andrea? She was split from the group when Hershel’s farm was overrun by walkers and found by a mysterious stranger.

The action starts on AMC next Monday, Dec. 31 at 9 p.m. EST.
