Now that the prison and Woodbury have discovered each other, we can expect to see a lot more tension on The Walking Dead. The cast and crew of AMC’s hit show weigh in on what to expect in the second half of season 3.

When The Walking Dead returns in February, we’ll be on the edge of our seats once again. The cast and crew let us know that things are just going to get more crazy once the second half of season 3 hits.

Steven Yeun, who plays the growing leader, Glenn, warns, “Things are way worse than they ever were before. For the second half, now we’re seeing what they’re capable of, and what they’ve turned into.”

Of the new prison residents, Lauren Cohan, our Maggie, is cautious yet hopeful.

“You want to trust your instincts, but you’ve been burned too many times.”

We’ve seen Rick’s growing ruthlessness with his interactions with characters like Tomas, but it seems like he’ll be even more brutal now that he’s about the face off with the Governor.

“In the second half of the season, you realize that Rick is this brutal, ruthless leader that is uncompromising. So when we meet the Governor, there is a match,” says Andrew Lincoln.

The Governor will prove to be a formidable foe for Rick and his group, because now that Penny’s gone, he doesn’t really have anything to protect. David Morrissey reaffirms this notion.

“Whilst he had something to live for, then he had a sense of purpose, a sense of humanity, as soon as he loses that, that goes, and that makes him a much more dangerous man.”

So will Andrea continue to side with the Governor? Laurie Holden seems to think her character might soon come to her senses.

“She’s gonna perservere. I want her to fight for the people, and feel even more inspired and empowered to do the right thing.”

Amidst all the chaos, who’s the character most fans are worried about?

Daryl.

Now that he’s in the hands of the Governor, and it looks like he’s about to fight Merle, we’re unsure of what his fate will be. Norman Reedus predicts that will be one of the determining factors to keep fans watching.

“I think that’s pretty much going to keep people waiting to see the first episode of the second half.”

We know that’s one of the main things we’ll be watching for, but we also know there will be much more that awaits us in the second half of The Walking Dead season 3.

“Please don’t think anything slows down,” Danai Gurira advises. Don’t worry – we trust you.
