Sunday’s new episode of The Walking Dead season 5 falls one day after the Valentine holiday. Would the showrunners be so cruel as to break our hearts for a third episode in a row?

It seems unfathomable for The Walking Dead to kill a character a third time in as many episodes, especially so soon after the most romantic day of the year. But that’s The Walking Dead: This zombie drama is relentless and unpredictable.

On last week’s episode, Tyreese was attacked and killed by a zombie after innocently exploring Noah’s home. While Tyreese was slowly dying, several characters came back to haunt him in visions. Even Beth, who only died an episode ago, was singing him songs on an acoustic guitar.

With Tyreese now buried (and his knit cap on top of his grave plot — ahh!), The Walking Dead continues this week with season 5, episode 10.

After losing two of their dear friends, Rick and company will surely have to reconsider where to go from here. As Michonne said to Rick and Glenn last week, they are in desperate need of a home where they can rest safely.

Their new destination may be Washington D.C. While Eugene won’t be able to find them a cure in the nation’s capital, Michonne believes that D.C. has the best odds in terms of infrastructure that could keep them safe.

In a clip from The Walking Dead season 5, episode 10, we see the whole group walking on a road on a hot summer day as a herd of zombies follows behind them. Michonne and Sasha have a brief chat about the differences between the latter and her late brother, Tyreese. It’s a topic that came up between the brother and sister two episodes ago:
