Former mouseketeers Tony Lucca and Christina Aguilera have been receiving a lot of attention on The Voice lately over what some are describing as a feud.

Although Aguilera started out the show rooting for Lucca in the battle rounds, she later called him “one dimensional” and implied that he may have an unfair advantage in votes due to support from former Mickey Mouse Club friends like Justin Timberlake. More recently, she lobbied coach Adam Levine to pick Katrina Parker over Lucca on Monday’s semi-finals.

“It seems she’s harboring some legitimate and hardcore resentment that I didn’t figure,” Lucca told The Hollywood Reporter. “She made some very critical, important decisions during the course of the season that surprised a lot of people. I don’t know if what we’re seeing now is about a backlash for not picking her or maybe something older and deeper seeded. I don’t know. It’s weird.”

“I don’t think I’d be here right now if I had picked Christina,” Lucca added. He had previously told THR that he and Aguilera had not been good friends on MMC due to their 5-year age difference.

But the show’s social media correspondent, Christina Milian, said Aguilera means well when she critiques.

“I always like to believe that Christina criticizes when she gives a critique to make you better,” she told THR. “Look at Tony, honestly he is already amazing, but he has proven himself ten-fold to be one of the top four right now. Sometimes, you need that fuel to say, ‘You know what, I’m going to prove myself to this person and kill it.’”

Do you think there is bad blood between Lucca and Aguilera or is Aguilera just being an objective judge on the show? Tune in to The Voice Monday at 8 p.m. and Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET on NBC.
