Christina Aguilera got slack for sending Jesse Campbell home Monday, but it’s Blake Shelton who’s feeling the heat after Tuesday’s elimination.

Shelton sent home country firecracker RaeLynn after her performance of “If I Die Young.” He had intended to save RaeLynn, but didn’t “feel like she did a very good performance and that wouldn’t be fair to Erin (Willett).”

Though admitting that his wife Miranda Lambert was probably disappointed with his decision, he’s not worried about RaeLynn’s career.

“She’ll be fine — my wife is in love with her and she’ll probably make a record with her, take her on tour and everything else,” Shelton told Billboard.

Defending her decision to keep Lindsey Pavao over Ashley De La Rosa, Aguilera said her decisions were “emotionally-driven.”

“Tonight, Lindsey brought me to tears,” Aguilera told the Hollywood Reporter. “And there was just no two ways around it. What was felt was felt. And it was real and it was honest and that’s the best that I can do and what I always bring to the table as a coach. Love me, hate me, as a coach I think it’s the only fair thing to these guys to be honest in the moment.”

Did they make the right decisions?
