The Voice battles continue this week with some epic sing-offs and only a few steals left!

Last week saw some amazing battles between season 6’s contestants, and even some sad departures. But the drama continues this week as we wrap up the first battles round with the fate of some early favorites at stake.

At this point in the battles, Adam has used both of his available steals, and Blake and Shakira have each used one. Usher still has both of his steals to use this week.

As proof of just how difficult this week is going to be, take a look at a few of the upcoming battles:

First up we have Team Blake’s Alaska and Madi versus Audra McLaughlin. The three women sound great in their three part harmonies, but how will Blake decide which act to keep on his team? A duo versus a solo artist also always makes for a bit of an uneven performance, both in a good and bad way.

In this next video we see just how much Blake is hemming and hawing over his decision after this particular battle. Does he choose dynamic duo, and fellow OK-natives, Alaska and Madi, or the uber-talented Audra? We’ve never seen Blake struggle with a decision so much before, but it looks like there might be a happy ending for everyone after all:

And then we have a look at the battle between Team Adam’s Josh Kaufman and Austin Ellis. Josh was a big standout in the blind auditions, with his soulful style, and while we only saw a brief snippet of Austin’s audition, this battle is enough to convince us that he’s a huge talent.

The two men are performing Pharrell’s “Happy,” and as a result, making all of our ears very happy. But it will not make viewers’ hearts happy if they both don’t move on in the competition, so hopefully whichever performer is not chosen by Adam will be stolen by another coach.
