Read some enticing tidbits about tonight’s The Vampire Diaries episode “The Killer,” shared by Todd Williams (Connor) and writer Michael Narducci.

Last week we learned that Connor is one of The Five, the legendary vampire hunters whose tattoos lead the way to “the ultimate weapon,” the cure for vampirism. In tonight’s episode, Connor will be taking Jeremy, April and Matt hostage while the rest of the gang works out a way to save them.

Speaking to EW, Williams says that this episode will be, “Shedding some light as to why Connor’s doing what he’s doing.” We’ll also learn more about his relationship with Professor Shane, and the reason for their alliance.

Williams describes Connor as, “a man who has a lot of questions that he needs answers to,” and he’s taking the three humans as hostages in order to get those answers.

Zap2It has spoken to the writer of “The Killer,” Michael Narducci, who shares one of his main objectives for this episode. “I want Elena to do more things,” he says. “I want her to not be a damsel in distress. I want her to go out and protect her brother.”

Further, we learn that this is the week where Caroline will find out about Tyler and Hayley. We’ll see the return of Stefan and Elena’s diaries, Jeremy will learn that he was compelled, and Professor Shane is up to no good (okay, no surprise about that last one).

“The Killer” is shaping up to be an intense episode! What are your predictions? Will Connor kick the bucket, leaving Jeremy to take his place (and his tattoos)? What will Caroline do once she finds out about Tyler?

The Vampire Diaries airs tonight at 8/7c on The CW.
