Tom: The Worst Doppleganger Name Ever
-Stefan’s new doppleganger’s name is Tom Avery, and he’s a paramedic. Sloan is working Stefan’s brain really hard to find out exactly where he is: Atlanta Metropolitan Hospital
-Elena wakes up after a crazy night with Damon and says it was a mistake. Damon wants to make more “mistakes,” but Elena leaves.
-Sloan calls Enzo to tell him about Tom, and Caroline warns her to stop frying Stefan’s brain.
-Damon is at the bar drinking with Tyler and Matt, explaining he’s in a tough spot and not having a good time with the breakup when he sees Liv and Jeremy drinking together.
-Elena is going to Jeremy’s Parent-Teacher conference and calls Bonnie, who wonders where Jeremy is and Elena realizes she doesn’t know.
-Elena goes to Jeremy’s teacher, and it turns out Damon is his personal contact at school, and not Elena.
-Enzo and Caroline are at the hospital trying to find Tom, and while waiting Enzo is bringing all the flirt on.
-Someone shows up to tell Enzo and Caroline that Tom Avery disappeared 4 months ago, and no one knows where he is.
Travelers Have Grudges
-Stefan wakes up and realizes the travelers have moved to a junk yard. That’s where they’re going to meet Marcos, the guy who wants their blood.
-Sloan calls Caroline and she tells them the info was bad, so Sloan goes back into Stefan’s mind to get a better connection.
-In the mind-connection, Tom is talking to a girl named Hazel who asks him on a date, and he says yes.
-Damon tells Elena that he saw Jeremy drinking with Liv earlier that morning, and Elena doesn’t think he’d do that to Bonnie.
-Jeremy’s teacher says that he’s been skipping school and cheating in class, and needs a stable home environment. Whoops.
-Caroline and Enzo go to the address seen in Stefan’s connection with Tom an they find Hazel doing some weird spell with her eyes all white, and they can’t go in. So Enzo kills her.
-Hazel turns up in front of Bonnie, of course, while Bonnie is with Luke. Hazel tells her to tell Luke that she couldn’t keep the doppleganger safe and she failed. Bonnie’s all, “wait, what, how? why? what?” (but more with her facial expressions than words.)
-Back at the bar, Liv is doing a silencing spell so Tyler can’t hear what she and Jeremy are talking about.
-Liv points out that Jeremy can’t be mind controlled by travelers, and he’s the only person she trusts.
-She says that there’s a rumor in the witch world the travelers are up to something not good.
-Jeremy thought travelers were witches (YAY CLARIFICATION) and she says they’re more like witches’ ugly stepsisters.
-Travelers have a grudge against anyone who gets their magic from nature, and now they are on the move. The next stop is Mystic Falls.
-If Jeremy wants to keep Elena safe, he has to help Liv figure out what the travelers are up to.
-Luke texts Liv and says Hazel is dead, time for plan B. So Liv forgets Jeremy and leaves, and when Tyler tries to stop her she points out she’s not a newbie witch and pushes him and all the furniture back, all Carrie style.
Do You Trust Me?
-At the school, Damon tells Elena he wants to rip her clothes off right then and there, but she leaves the room.
-Caroline is pissed that Enzo just killed the witch, and explains she’s not like him and she doesn’t kill people like he does.
-While they argue they start hearing a heart beating, and head to the basement to discover Tom, who’s unconscious and connected to a bunch of IV bags.
-Enzo offers to kill Tom for Caroline, but she has to do it. As she’s starting to strangle him, he suddenly wakes up.
-Caroline compels Tom to trust her, and instead of snapping his neck she snaps Enzo’s and tells Tom she’s going to get him out of there.
-Jeremy calls Bonnie and tells her that he thinks Elena is in trouble and Liv said she was important to the travelers.
-At the school again, Elena starts daydreaming about Damon and her having sex while one of the teachers is giving a presentation.
-She goes to the garage to get some air and Liv meets up with her, knocking her against a wall and grabbing a wooden stake.
This Ain’t No Silas
-Liv starts apologizing and says she did everything in her power to protect her, but she’s too dangerous now. But Damon shows up to stop her.
-Caroline explains what happened to Tom while they’re having food at a diner. Tom is a super nice fella! Definitely not like Silas.
-Damon starts torturing Liv, wanting her to give him information.
-Liv explains that Elena is the last female doppleganger, and once the other male doppleganger is dead then the travelers are going to come after her.
-Jeremy walks in, and tells Damon that if he wants to kill Liv he would have to kill Jeremy as well.
Nice Tom is Dead Tom
-Matt and Jeremy track down Luke to stop him from trying to save Liv.
-Meanwhile, Jeremy tries talking Damon and Elena into saving her. He explains he can’t think about school when his life is all about dopplegangers and death all around him.
-Elena decides to trust him, and she wants Damon to trust her. So he does.
-Jeremy wants Liv and Luke to protect Elena and in turn he will help figure out what the travelers are doing, as long as Matt and Tyler help as well.
-Caroline heads to the parking lot with Tom, when Enzo shows up and snaps Tom’s neck.
Shadow Man
-Jeremy tells Elena he decided to stay at Matt and Tyler’s place for a while, because he needs to figure out how to deal with crazy on his own.
-Caroline shows up to the travelers hangout to see Stefan again, and tells him she failed. She couldn’t kill Tom, but Enzo did.
-Stefan wants to rest for the night before they go out and try to get a plan to escape. Caroline realizes that Stefan knew she wouldn’t kill Tom, and they get all cuddly in the back of a pickup truck.
-Elena starts packing to move back to campus, and tells Damon that when they’re together they do bad things for each other. He wants to drive her, but she knows if he does she’ll never be able to get herself away from him.
-Elena wants Damon to let her go.
-Damon kisses her forehead before telling her to travel safe, and walks away.
-While they try to sleep, Caroline and Stefan wake up to the sound of creepy travelers chanting.
-The travelers are drinking Elena and Stefan’s blood….ew.
-Sloan lights one of them on fire, and they all catch on fire.
-Suddenly all the travelers are with Bonnie as they’re chanting and dying, going through her one after the other.
-Bonnie passes out on the floor, and her shadow removes itself from her, and turns into a man who walks away. Marcos!
