4×07 ‘My Brother’s Keeper’

TV Guide has a bit more information on the Miss Mystic Falls pageant coming up in the episode after tonight’s, writing that we can expect to “relive” the Damon/Elena dancing scene from season 1. Executive producer Julie Plec reveals that in this episode, we’ll be getting back to the “romance and good Mystic Falls events at their finest,” and that includes this particular season 1 memory, “of what was going on in the triangle back then.”

Delena fans should get excited about this, because according to Plec, a scene in this episode will be like their season 1 dance, but multiplied by 1,000. What could that mean?!

We’ll have to wait a while to find out, sadly. After tonight’s episode, The Vampire Diaries won’t be back until November 29, so hopefully “We All Go a Little Mad Sometimes” will be enough to carry us over until then.

4×08 ‘We’ll Always Have Bourbon Street’

EW has a great first look image of Damon in costume from the episode following “My Brother’s Keeper,” which will flash back to the 1940s. It seems like both Damon and Stefan will be enlisting:

We also learn that Arielle Kebbell will be appearing as Lexie. It is always good to see her, but we can’t help but wonder what kind of problems she’ll be there to help Stefan out of.

The CW has also released the official description for this episode, which reads:

A FLASHBACK TO NEW ORLEANS IN 1942 — When Stefan ({Paul Wesley) confronts Damon (Ian Somerhalder) with a suspicion about Elena (Nina Dobrev), Damon has no choice but to help Stefan investigate. Searching for answers, Damon and Stefan visit modern day New Orleans to see if they can find anyone who remembers the events of their last visit in 1942, including one of Damon’s former flames, Charlotte (guest star Madeline Zima). Elena, Caroline (Candice Accola) and Bonnie (Kat Graham) share a girls’ night while the Salvatore brothers are out of town, and emotions run high when Elena delivers some shocking news. At Hayley’s (guest star Phoebe Tonkin) urging, Tyler (Michael Trevino) confronts one of Klaus’ hybrids, Kimberly (guest star Alyssa Diaz), and the situation quickly escalates into violence. Finally, Damon is faced with a heartbreaking decision.

“We’ll Always Have Bourbon Street” will air on December 6. Sounds like another great episode!
