E! Online has good news for Alaric fans: apparently, Matt Davis is currently working out how to juggle work on both the new CW series Cult and on The Vampire Diaries. This of course could have been put out there to throw us off the track, but we’re holding out hope!

The title of the episode is ‘The Departed,’ and we now know that this refers to the people who Elena has lost. There’ll be flashbacks to her parents’ death, and we’re expecting this to be very, very sad.
