The Vampire Academy movie added three actors to the cast, and they will play Mia, Karp, and Jesse.

Sami Gayle, who can currently be seen on Blue Bloods, has landed the role of Mia in The Vampire Academy movie. Mia is the enemy of Lissa and, by default, Rose. Mia is bitter over a situation with Lissa’s brother and therefore sets out to destroy Lissa. Do you think Sami Gayle is right for the role of Mia? She certainly looks younger than she is, like Rose likes to point out in the book!

Other new cast members announced this evening are Claire Foy, who will play Karp, and Ashley Charles, who will play Jesse.

Filming will begin in London the week of May 27. The cast currently includes Lucy Fry, Zoey Deutch, and Danila Kozlovski as the leads. Cameron Monaghan and Olga Kurylenko have also been added. Mark Waters is directing from a script by Daniel Waters.

Vampire Academy: Blood Sisters is the first in a series of six novels that have all landed on the New York Times Bestsellers list. There is also a spin off series, Bloodlines, in which the third novel has been released.

How do you think the cast is shaping up so far?
