The Telegraph has released an article pondering why Pottermore has been delayed.
Though it doesn’t include new information, we wanted to pass it along since a rep for J.K. Rowling made a comment in the piece.
The interesting part comes in this portion:
A spokesman for Rowling would say only that the author was “not ready to say” why it had been delayed. “There is no further information at the moment – but it will be obvious when it is announced.”
The spokesman added: “We appreciate fans’ patience, and as soon as we’re in a position to let them know more, we will do so.”
This seems to imply that there’s a specific, yet-to-be-revealed reason why Pottermore has seen this several month delay. It could simply be technical issues or it could be something more. Maybe we will get details once they are ready to open the site.
A couple weeks ago we learned that the site was not to open up in “the immediate future.”
