The 85th Annual Academy Awards will take place tonight and to celebrate the nominees, we thought we’d take nine of the best quotes from films which were nominated for Best Picture and make them into posters. It’s no easy task choosing just one quote from a film which has now been nominated for Best Picture, but we did our best and attempted to create posters and use quotes which best represented this year’s greatest films. The road that a film takes from its inception until its debut to the public and to finally being nominated for an Oscar is a long and perilous road. There are many bumps and quite a bit of risk just putting a film together, and most of the time the hope is simply to make a profit; awards are appreciated but not always the main goal. Simply creating a film often takes years and tens of millions of dollars. A group of celebrated and talented actors work together over long periods of time, going to locations across the world and creating unbelievable sets or entire films through computer animation and it all culminates for many of us film fans on February 24: The Oscars.
