While the graphics do not look to have advanced far from the previous generation of the beloved people simulator, The Sims 4 does show modest increases in life-like detail.

The Sims 4‘s main features have not been formally announced, but rumors indicate that your Sims will better portray emotions and feelings. They’ll also be able to multi-task (for example, drink and talk simultaneously).

The game is expected to debut in early 2014. The final Sims 3 expansion back appears to be one titled Into the Future. Ending The Sims 3 franchise on an expansion with a name like “Into the Future” would be fitting as EA brings their people simulator into a new area.

A trailer for The Sims 4 is expected next week at Gamescom. We’ll be sure to share any official media with you at that time.

The game was announced earlier this year. Reports have indicated that there were plans for some online elements, but following SimCity’s disastrous launch, EA decided to pull internet capabilities for now.
