Late last week when the CW released its line up for the fall and the much talked about The Selection pilot was not on the list leaving fans disappointed. Deadline is reporting that The Selection might not be dead.
Similarly, the CW is expected to take another stab at developing a TV series based on The Selection series of books by Kiera Cass. The network brass are very keen on having a show on the air that is thematically close to the blockbuster Hunger Games movie franchise the way the network’s hit Vampire Diaries is to Twilight.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out. What is meant by ‘take another stab at developing,’ was the pilot not good? Was the chemistry lacking between characters? After the hasty cancellation of The Secret Circle it will be interesting to see what the CW does with this adaptation.
