Although The CW has officially cancelled The Secret Circle, fans have started several fan campaigns and petitions to save the show. Is there still hope?

A press release by the folks who started the Save the Circle operation details the different fan campaigns that have been set in motion following last week’s news that The Secret Circle had been cancelled. The operation hopes to see the CW drama picked up by SyFy or MTV.

Some of the prominent campaigns that fans eager to make a stand for the series should look into include the Make-A-Wish to Save-A-Wish, where fans can donate up to $10 to the Make-A-Wish campaign, and Reliving the Magic, which asks fans to buy the episodes from Amazon and iTunes.

While very few cancelled series have experienced last-minute saves by fan campaigns, there is no denying that it has worked on a number of occasions. Famously, 10 years ago Roswell was set to be cancelled after its first season, but fans organised a campaign to send bottles of tabasco sauce to the WB network, and the show was renewed for an additional two seasons.
