I’m sure you’ve all seen it on Tumblr, the various pictures of Ryan Gosling captioned with some comment about a book or feminism. Well that Tumblr, or at least the feminism one, is going to be a book.
The book is based off of the “Feminist Ryan Gosling” Tumblr account that went viral last October. The site features oh-so-dreamy photos of The Gos paired with feminist theory one-liners — all beginning with the now-famous phrase “Hey girl.” Though this was hardly the only riff on the original “Hey girl” meme (see Gosling Lit Agent and Hunger Games Gosling to name a couple of gems), it took off in a major way.
So what do you think about this being a book? Did they have to get Gosling’s permission to use his image?
