The Quest was back tonight with two more hours of non-stop battles and fantasy fun! Check out what happened as we recap the first hour.

Last week was all about protecting the castle and this week, that might not be so easy a task as the paladins get their first look at Verlox in person.

Six paladins remain…

The paladins rush to action when Verlox is spotted on Castle Saenctum’s grounds. With a touch of his hand, he sends a crack spiraling up the castle wall, weakening it. Ansgar sends the paladins to rescue the Queen and escape through the tunnels. They stumble upon the Vizier, who is already outside the castle walls, drawing a lot of suspicion upon himself. He gives the Queen an amulet to wear, and tells her it will keep her safe. Ansgar leads the paladins and the Queen underground, and hopefully to safety.

They exit the tunnels and Ansgar says that he is leading the Queen, Crio, and the paladins to the front lines, where the Queen will be safer. He also believes that they need to give up hope for the Quest, but Crio stands up to him and says that he believes in it.

Guys vs Girls

Ansgar sends the Queen off with the guards to establish a safe place for her to hide while he and the paladins go off to continue the quest. They will return to the Queen’s side once they have sent some messages to the front lines. On their way, they spot four of Verlox’s scouts and hide successfully until they are out of sight.

Ansgar asks the paladins to split up (via arrow draw), and it ends up as guys vs girls. Lina, Bonnie, and Leticia will be sending one message, while Andrew, Patrick, and Shondo will be sending the other.

Both teams do an excellent job of shouting the specifics of the coloring and shapes on the flags to spell out their message. The girls think they have it, but Ansgar tells them they are not correct.

The guys are the first to complete the challenge. The girls had the wrong shape on one of their flags, and couldn’t figure it out until the boys were sent to help them. Since they completed theirs first, Patrick was awarded the Mark of Intelligence after Shondo and Andrew said he was instrumental in winning their challenge.

Ansgar leaves to get whatever supplies he can, and leaves the paladins to erect a basic shelter and camouflage it in case they need to return there later. Ansgar returns and then leads them to a proper campsite where they see Crio.

The paladins get a chance to relax for a few moments before the girls must face the Fates and figure out who will be leaving Everrealm.

The Fates challenge

Crio leads Bonnie, Leticia, and Lina out of the Hall of Fates to face off in a battle of wits in the nearby dark forest. He asks them to spy on one of Verlox’s patrols. They must remember what they see, and whomever remembers the most will win.

Crio returns after the patrol passes and he hurries them into the shade of the trees when they hear horses heading back in their direction.

They race back to camp and each tells Sir Ansgar what they saw by answering a list of questions on a scroll. Each fills theirs out to the best of their ability, and reports their answers to Sir Ansgar. He gives Crio a scroll that tells which of the paladins was most accurate, and he announces that while Leticia and Lina got six details correct, Bonnie got seven, so she is safe from banishment. Shondo, Patrick, Andrew, and Bonnie debate who they believe should stay in Everrealm.

And the banished paladin is…

All four paladins chose Lina, so she is safe, while Leticia will stay behind and no longer be a part of the Quest. As she adds her sunspear piece to the altar, Leticia smiles up at the Fates. She then vanishes in a puff of smoke as she exits the Hall of Fates.

Back at camp

Five paladins remain and get a moment of calm to collect themselves before the Quest continues. The Queen appears, and seems distraught that another paladin has fallen. Crio reminds her that it is the way of the prophecy. Before they can truly settle in, a loud noise rouses them, and they run off to see what is making all the noise.

Make sure to check out the recap of episode 8 that aired directly following this one.

Do you agree with the paladins’ choice for banishment?
