Tonight, an all new adventure begins on ABC as the contestants on The Quest begin their journey to become the one true hero!

12 paladins battle through a world fit for a cosplayer in the new reality competition series The Quest, created by an Executive Producer from The Lord of the Rings and the creators of The Amazing Race. These 12 real people will exist in an entirely scripted world with characters written for the show, but they will be forced to acclimate themselves to the challenges and obstacles that come their way.

Here are the 12 brave paladins that will be trying to fight their way to becoming the one true hero:

Shondo Blades

A 30 year old MMA Fighter from Houston, TX, Shondo is a huge Ghostbusters fan and even wore a proton pack to school as a kid for a week straight once!

Lina Carollo

A school counselor that helps run her family’s restaurant, Lina is a big video game fan, listing Street Fighter, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, and The Magical Quest as a few of her favorites as a kid.

Jim Curry

A proud Hufflepuff, Jim is a Hogwarts Virtual Choir and University of Arkansas Quidditch Team member who loves Young Adult literature and thinks adults shouldn’t be ashamed to like those kinds of books.

Andrew Frazer

An avid Dragonball Z fan, Andrew loves to dress up as his favorite heroes (and villains), and watch all his favorite Dragonball Z episodes in their original Japanese (with subtitles).

Bonnie Gordon

A fantasy fan through and through, Bonnie used to keep a knapsack packed and ready just in case Peter Pan showed up at her window to sweep her off to Neverland.

Ashley Guerrero

A skilled trick rider, archer, and boxer, Ashley is a big fan of The Neverending Story and cannot watch The Princess Bride without a steaming bowl of beef stew and quoting the movie’s every line.

Patrick Higgins

A dedicated Star Wars cosplayer, Patrick has a very understanding wife that agreed to walk under lightsabers to the theme song at their wedding. He uses his costumes for a good cause though, going dressed up to charities and children’s hospitals.

Jasmine Kyle

An avid Lord of the Rings fan fiction writer, Jasmine met her love at a Renaissance fair, and has taken place in all the great Harry Potter events that all us fandom geeks enjoyed so much.

Adria Kyne

An avid LARP-er, Adria once tromped around in knee-deep snow while fighting giant radioactive moths as a cyborg, but names The Hobbit as the story that started her love for fantasy after being read the story as a young child and being overtaken by the adventure.

Leticia Reyes

A superhero fan through and through, Leticia began her fascination with adventure by re-enacting WWF wrestling matches with her brother and cousins as a child. She moved on to superheroes and actually played one from Puerto Rico for a short film.

Katherine “Katie” Smaluk

A single trip to Medieval Times as a kid was enought to make Katherine a fantasy fan for life. She is a big fan of the kick ass females in fantasy, noting that Buffy is one such woman that definitely qualifies as a guilty pleasure.

Christian Sochor

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone was the gateway to life as a fantasy fan for Christian, who soon became obsessed with all kinds of fantasy including Pokemon, Spider-man, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
