If you thought the list of musical acts set to reunite in 2013 was going to end with Destiny’s Child and Justin Timberlake, think again!

Fans of popular synth-pop band The Postal Service will be the next group of music lovers to rejoice over the prospect of a reunion.

Nearly 10 years to the date since the release of 2003’s indie electro-pop masterpiece, Give Up, band members Jimmy Tamborello (Dntel, Figurine) and Ben Gibbard (Death Cab For Cutie) have confirmed that The Postal Service is booked to play at a string of music festivals this year, including Coachella.

Additionally, the band will be re-releasing a special deluxe edition of its first full-length album, Give Up, which is set to drop sometime next month.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem as though a deluxe edition of the album necessarily means new material.

Front man of both The Postal Service and Death Cab For Cutie, Ben Gibbard, recently told Spinner that there “are no plans to make a second [Postal Service] record…I can’t say that enough.”
