The Originals season 2 has been quite the roller coaster. Due to all this crazy drama, there are a few things we definitely need out of the finale. **crosses fingers**

We lost some incredible characters, saw some get new faces, and learned about a crazy aunt of theirs that wants nothing more than to steal away one of the best things to ever happen to Klaus. Now that we’ve made our way to the finale, we are in desperate need of a few things. Here’s our list of what we need to see in this Monday’s season finale. Let us know if there’s anything we missed!

Dahlia defeated

After a very long build up, Dahlia has been the force that was promised. She’s been awful, and chock full of power, and a truly formidable force for Klaus and company to fight against. Now, we are more eager than ever to see her defeated. Sacrifices have been made, plans have unraveled, and now it’s time for something to go right. Hope couldn’t possibly end up in Dahlia’s clutches, right? RIGHT?

Rebekah back in her Original body

This one is more than a little bittersweet, as we were really enjoying Maisie Richardson-Sellers’ portrayal of Rebekah, but Claire Holt’s return is something we have always wanted. She is an Original sibling. As much fun as the body-jumping can be, we are ready to have our favorite blonde back. We’ve been happy to have the character around despite the actress’ need for a break, but it’s time to get our Rebekah back in her Original way, shape, and form.

A little more closure to the Hayley/Elijah drama

Okay. We know Hayley married Jackson, but due to some incredibly heavy tension, the Elijah/Hayley drama just never felt resolved. Elijah truly cares for Hayley, and while we don’t want to see anything happen to Jackson, something feels off about how things ended between Klaus’ brother and his baby-momma. We’re not saying that we need action between them, or even for her relationship with Jackson to change, but we do need to see Elijah some sort of happy.

Hope secure and safe

Baby Hope has had a tumultuous life so far. Hours after being born, she was ripped from her mother’s arms and put into safe-keeping with Auntie Beks. It’s not that we need everything to be happy ever after-like, but we’d love some sort of security for the babe, preferably with at least one of her parents this time.

Davina showing some sort of powerful plan

We. Love. Davina. She is a badass character who has truly come into her own after the craziness of the Harvest ritual drama. She has wielded all sorts of power and truly put herself out there for Kol, so she’s had quite a year. Her new position as regent for the many different factions of the witch population in New Orleans is just the beginning of all kinds of opportunities for Davina. We are incredibly interested in her resurrecting of Kol, but we’re determined not to get our hopes up to high about that.

Elijah screaming at Klaus over Gia

Last week, Klaus may have pulled a major one over Dahlia, but he sacrificed Elijah’s lady-friend in the ruse. This does not please us. Gia was a really great influence on Elijah, not to mention an awesome character in general. As much as we will miss her, Elijah cannot just let this one pass. If he doesn’t push back at Klaus over this outrageous betrayal, we will definitely lose a lot of respect for the honorable Mikaelson.

Freya freed

Last, but certainly never least, we need to see Freya out from under Dahlia’s control. Being stuck in a century-old sleep cycle is not a fate we want to see Freya slip back into if Dahlia does manage to escape ultimate destruction. Hopefully the ‘Always and Forever’ crew will find a way to spare their eldest sister a continued tortured existence.
