The Originals season 2 is back tonight, and Dahlia isn’t the only threat causing trouble for the Mikaelsons in New Orleans.

There’s a lot to be excited about as The Originals returns tonight to begin a six week uninterrupted march toward the season 2 finale. We’ve endured some pretty long hiatuses this year, so it is especially nice to know that we’re in the clear from here on out.

This week’s episode puts the focus on the struggle between the spirits of Rebekah and Eva Sinclair and who will ultimately win control of the body they both want to inhabit. Klaus, Marcel, and Hayley are all about getting a handle on the obstinate Eva Sinclair and helping Rebekah in the process.

Check out a sneak peek, an inside look at the episode, a few stills, and a detailed description of tonight’s episode below. Oh, and make sure to tell us what has you most excited for tonight’s new episode of The Originals!

Inside the Episode

Check out this glimpse into what Michael Narducci and Julie Plec have to say about the battle that will ensue tonight between the Mikaelsons and Eva Sinclair, including how Finn’s former body buddy, Vincent, plays a role.

Sneak Peek

It seems that Klaus has decided to play… well, not exactly nice, but to at least ask Freya for help regarding the Rebekah vs Eva Sinclair business that has them all scrambling. The real question is: How far will Freya go to prove to Klaus that she means what she says and wants to help? Will she fulfill his every wish, or is she a little harder to manipulate than that?

Synopsis

“CONTROLLING THE DEMON — When Eva Sinclair’s (guest star Maisie Richardson-Sellers) reemergence leaves Rebekah trapped and helpless, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) is forced to put aside his mistrust for Freya (guest star Riley Voelkel) in order to save Rebekah’s life. Meanwhile, Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) and Elijah (Daniel Gillies) learn more about Eva’s violent past from Josephine (guest star Meg Foster), who then makes a startling revelation about Hayley’s future. With time running out to save Rebekah, Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) turns to a reluctant Vincent (Yusuf Gatewood) for his help to take down Eva, but his plan takes an unexpected turn, as Eva will not go down without a fight. Danielle Campbell also stars. Dermott Downs directed the episode written by Declan de Barra & Diane Ademu-John (#217).”
