The second season of The Originals has brought a slew of new characters, but we may not have met them all yet! Julie Plec and company just added another werewolf to the mix, and we’re excited to see her role in this hierarchy.
You may recognize her from her time on Scandal playing the late great Supreme Court Justice Verna Thornton, or maybe from Everwood where she played Edna Harper, but one thing is for sure, if you’ve seen this lady work, you know that the Mikaelson family is in for big trouble.
Debra Mooney has joined the cast of The Originals according to Tvline.com, as a member of the werewolf community hierarchy. She will stop at nothing to protect her people from the antics of the Original family, and is described as a “tough, no-nonsense” kind of woman.
We are anxious to see whose bloodline she belongs to. Our money is on the crescent wolves line, but you can never be to sure when it comes to the complicated bloodlines in the Louisiana bayou.
Do you think she is interested in allying herself with the Original brothers? Or will she see Esther’s point and rally the wolves to help rid the quarter of Esther’s children once and for all?
Only time, and more episodes, will tell. We can’t wait to see her first appearance, whenever that will be. She definitely adds some real adult authority to the mix with all these young, beautiful people on The Originals.
