If you can remember back two full week’s ago when The Originals season 1, episode 7 “Bloodletting” aired, you may remember that Tyler Lockwood stole Hayley right out from under the protection of the Original siblings. He intended to test the power of the blood of Hayley’s unborn baby, then kill it and her to keep Klaus from creating a new hybrid army.
This plan of Tyler’s didn’t work out as well as he planned, and he ended up facing off with Klaus in a campsite. Ultimately, Klaus won but allowed Tyler to live in order to cause him the most pain. Hayley was fine after Elijah came to her rescue, but after he accused Klaus of nefarious plans, Elijah was bitten by Klaus and prepared for the few days of memories, visions, and pain that he now had to look forward to.
In the past few weeks we have seen stills from tonight’s episode of The Originals that showed the Original brothers facing off in a era that appears to be colonial America. We can only imagine that these memories take place during Elijah’s battle with the hybrid venom, so there is sure to be a lot to learn from the noble brother’s recollections.

THE FIRST BATTLE OF THE WAR – Rebekah (Claire Holt), facing a difficult decision, turns to Father Kieran (guest star Todd Stashwick) for guidance. Elijah (Daniel Gillies) struggles with the consequences of a recent fallout with Klaus (Joseph Morgan). Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) remains by his side but is soon drawn away by a mysterious figure who sheds some light on her past. Meanwhile, a frustrated Cami (Leah Pipes) struggles to make sense of a cryptic message she’s come across. Finally, when an unsuspecting Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) uncovers some upsetting information involving Klaus, a confrontation ends in a surprising twist.

In case you cannot watch the episode live tonight, and are wondering where you can watch The Originals season 1, episode 8 online, you can catch it on the CW’s website usually within 24 hours of the initial airing. Also, Huluplus subscribers can also catch up on Hulu, as the episodes are usually posted six hours or so after airing, and a little later in the week for non-subscribers.
The easiest method is always to set your DVR, but you may also be able to catch The Originals by checking out the OnDemand section from your local cable provider. The OnDemand option is usually available the next day.
