Last time on ‘The Originals’
Last episode showed Oliver (otherwise known as blondie werewolf guy) planning a wolfsbane bombing of the werewolf pack in order to propel them into action against the other factions. Elijah was there to try and stop the bomber, but when additional bombs were found he just tried to do the best he could to help.
While Elijah was running around the bayou trying to save lives, Cami and Josh were hanging out with Kieran in the infamous church attic. He had taken a definite turn for the worse, and was fading in and out of lucidity. Cami gets desperate for help and tries some alternative methods (namely electroshock) to bring her uncle back to her, even if just to say goodbye.
When all other methods fail, Klaus feeds Kieran his blood and kills him, triggering the vampire transformation process. He never intended for Kieran to change, but he knew that Kieran’s death would end the witches’ curse long enough to let Cami and her uncle have an appropriate goodbye.
Long story short, Kieran wasn’t cured of the curse, and he fed and turned, only to have to be staked by Klaus in the end. In an attempt to soothe Cami’s grieving heart, Klaus allows Marcel to come to her in the quarter after she calls out for Marcel in her sleep.
Last week was one of the darkest and dreariest episodes yet, but it’s not looking like this week will be happy-go-lucky. Mikael is back, the Quarter is grieving the loss of Kieran, and the battle for control continues.
Extended Promo
We didn’t get our usual pair of sneak peek clips like usual, so unfortunately, this extended promo will have to do, but it gives us a great idea of what Mikael is up to. Hayley and the baby are in danger and Klaus and Elijah each have a stake in saving them.
Can’t watch live tonight?
Have no fear! If you find yourself unable to catch the episode live, you can watch The Originals season 1, episode 20 online. You can catch it on the CW’s website usually within 24 hours of the initial airing. Also, Huluplus subscribers can also catch up on Hulu, as the episodes are usually posted six hours or so after airing, and a little later in the week for non-subscribers.
The easiest method is always to set your DVR, but you may also be able to catch The Originals by checking out the OnDemand section from your local cable provider. The OnDemand option is usually available the next day.
